Partner with Magnor Equity Partners
For B2B founders who have a proven offer and a ceiling on client acquisition.
Magnor Equity Partners takes a minority equity position and then runs client acquisition inside the company. Email john@magnorequitypartners.com with the six items listed below.
What does Magnor Equity Partners look for?
Magnor Equity Partners looks for B2B companies that already sell something at a price that works and cannot get past a ceiling on their own. The offer is proven. Delivery holds. Growth is capped at the front of the business.
| Fit | Not a fit |
|---|---|
| B2B, selling to companies | Consumer products |
| At least $100,000 a month in revenue | Under $100,000 a month, pre revenue, or still testing an offer |
| Delivery can absorb more clients | Delivery already behind |
| Founder wants to own less of more | Founder wants a service provider on a retainer |
| Constraint is leads, follow up, or reps | Constraint is the product |
Start the application. One question decides whether this is an equity conversation or one of the four services sold on their own.
What are the minimums?
Two, and they are checked before anything else. A company needs at least $100,000 a month in revenue, and it needs to fund a minimum monthly advertising budget, agreed in writing before work starts.
The revenue floor exists because the firm takes a minority position and is paid on growth. Below $100,000 a month, a percentage of a percentage is not worth a year of anyone's attention, and the company is usually still proving its offer rather than scaling it.
The advertising minimum is set against the size of the company and never drops below the floor agreed at signing. A starved ad account cannot be judged. Below a certain spend there is not enough data to tell a weak audience from a weak advert from a weak offer, so the money buys noise instead of an answer.
Advertising spend sits on the company's own card and own accounts. It is never paid to Magnor Equity Partners and never counts as the firm's revenue.
What should you send?
Send one email with the six items below. Magnor Equity Partners can evaluate a company from these numbers without a call, and a first email that contains them gets a real answer faster.
- What the company sells, and to whom.
- Revenue over the last twelve months, month by month if you have it.
- Average deal size and close rate.
- Where leads come from today, and the cost per lead.
- How many salespeople are on the team, and who manages them.
- What you think the ceiling is, and why.
Email john@magnorequitypartners.com. There is no form on this page and no call scheduler, on purpose.
What happens after you email?
Magnor Equity Partners replies to every email that includes the six items. If the numbers suggest a fit, the next step is one call about the acquisition constraint, then a written proposal covering the equity position and the scope of the work.
- Step one
- Email with the six items above.
- Step two
- One call about where the growth is capped.
- Step three
- Written proposal: equity position, scope, and the first ninety days.
- Step four
- Documents, then the firm starts inside the business.
How many partnerships does Magnor Equity Partners take?
Magnor Equity Partners takes on one new partnership per quarter. The firm operates inside each company rather than advising it, so capacity is the limit. Read the model and the frequently asked questions before sending anything.
